The Beatitudes

1.  Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Empty of self-importance, empty of “I know,” Empty of “I am this,” right here, nothing is Missing. The “kingdom” is not a reward. It is what remains when there is no one left to claim anything.

2. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Let grief come without knowing what is lost. Not your grief, not for anything. Just the raw breaking open of love. If there is no owner of the grief, who is it that Needs comforting?

3. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Do not assert yourself against anything. Not even against confusion, not even against pain. Completely undefended. When there is no “one” standing against the world, what is there that is not already yours?

4. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

If the longing for truth is real, it consumes Everything false. What remains is faith. It is already complete.

5. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

When you stop holding others as separate, who Is left to judge? Mercy given and mercy received are the same Movement. If there is no separation, who has ever done Harm to whom?

6. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

A pure heart is not moral perfection, it is a heart without division. With no observer standing apart from what is seen, where is the distance between ‘you’ and ‘God.’

7. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

When inner division ends, the world is no longer Divided. That is what “child of God” points to. End the argument inside. If there were never Two, what was the conflict Made of?

8. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

If you live from what is true rather than what is Accepted, you will not fit…..Good. Stand where there is nothing to defend. Let misunderstanding come. Let rejection come. If there is no ego to protect, what exactly is Being attacked?

9. Blessed are you when people insult you… because of me.

Let the insult land. Do not move to accept or reject it. No defense. No agreement. Rejoice, because you are no longer owned by their approval.
